Browsing without an account
You can look at the public pages without signing up. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site. Like most sites, our hosting provider handles technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site running.
What we keep if you join
- Your account: username, email address and a scrambled version of your password. We can't read your password.
- What you post: board posts, messages, listings, want lists, trade proposals and offers.
- What you save in the tools: your cards, tracking, purchases and notes, if your account has access to them.
- Safety records: reports, blocks and moderation actions.
- Limits: a scrambled form of your IP address, used to slow down abuse such as repeated sign-in attempts.
The VIP email list
If you join the VIP list, your email, any first name you give and the interests you tick go to SureContact, the service we use to send email. We use them to send what you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
How we use it
We use it to run your account and the features you use, keep the community safe, respond to you and follow the law. We don't sell your information.
Who can see it
- Everyone: your username, public posts, listings and anything you choose to make public.
- The people you message: your messages and trade proposals. Messages aren't end-to-end encrypted, so site staff may see them when handling a report or safety issue.
- The site owner: account and moderation details, and offers on the live board, including your username and note.
- Service providers: companies that host the site and handle our email.
- Others, when required: if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in. The site also remembers a few conveniences in your browser, such as filters. We don't use advertising cookies.
Links to other sites
Links to eBay, grader sites, shops and others go to sites with their own privacy rules. When photos from those sites are shown here on request, they're loaded from those sites.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is open and as needed for safety and legal reasons. To see, correct or delete your information, email support@boomcardclub.com. Some records may stay if we have to keep them, and other members may still have messages you sent them.
Age
Accounts are for people 18 or older. If you believe someone younger has joined, please contact us so we can remove the account.
Security
We work to protect your information, but no site is perfectly secure. Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
